Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
- Lead the implementation of effective instructional programs aligned with state standards
and district goals.
- Support and evaluate teachers and staff to improve instruction and student learning
outcomes.
- Analyze student achievement data to inform school-wide instructional practices and
interventions.
- Foster a school culture that supports equity, academic rigor, and continuous
improvement.
School Management
- Oversee day-to-day school operations, including safety, facilities, and budget
management.
- Develop and implement the school site plan in alignment with district priorities.
- Ensure compliance with district policies, state and federal regulations.
- Effectively allocate resources to support student achievement and school goals.
Staff Supervision & Development
- Hire, supervise, and evaluate certificated and classified staff.
- Create and sustain professional learning communities focused on student learning.
-Provide leadership and mentoring to support professional growth.
Student Support & Engagement
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
- Oversee the implementation of positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS).
- Ensure appropriate support for diverse learners, including English learners, students with
disabilities, and those in need of intervention.
Family & Community Engagement
- Maintain strong communication and partnerships with families and the broader
community.
- Engage with parents and community stakeholders to support student success.
- Represent the school at district meetings, events, and community functions
Required Documents
Qualifications
Education & Certification
-Valid California Administrative Services Credential.
-Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field.
Experience
-Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience (elementary level preferred).
-Prior administrative or leadership experience (e.g., Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, TOSA) strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment.
-Ability to lead with equity, empathy, and cultural responsiveness.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
-Knowledge of California state education laws, accountability systems, and school finance.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
-May require occasional evening or weekend work.
-Requires mobility to work in a typical office/school setting and use standard office equipment.
-Ability to travel between school sites and district office as needed.
