ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES generally include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Entry level back up for the Parent Portal Coordinator. Assists with maintaining Parent Portal & System Management. Provides customer service to parents which includes answering questions and assisting parents with installing the app on their phone. Will send out correspondence to parents, students and staff in absence of Parent Portal Coordinator.
Helps relieve Bus Rider Registration App duties from Coordinator as needed throughout the school year.
Entry level review and clipping of bus video. Assists the Regular Ed Supervisor with requests of school bus video segments from school administrators. (Confidentiality is paramount with this task).
Coordinates, tracks and keeps detailed log of students counts for AZ Department of Education Finance Reports.
Answers incoming phone calls to assist dispatch. Effectively communicates with schools, parents and other stakeholders regarding transportation services.
Works collaboratively with bus drivers, school staff and parents. Helps address and solve minor transportation issues that may arise.
Assists with filing various paperwork and data entry throughout the office.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, county and city statutes, rules, policies and procedures
Knowledge of applicable Peoria Unified School District and departmental policies and procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required
Working effectively as a member of a team and applying consensus decision making techniques
Knowledge of Seon and REI bus camera software
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent
One (1) to three (3) years experience in a pupil transportation setting which may include some experience using a computerized routing and scheduling system.
OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background check
May be required to work outside normal working hours
Must have at the time of application and must maintain a valid Arizona driver's license
Must obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
May be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, hazardous chemicals and fumes and infectious diseases.
May be required to lift or carry heavy, bulky supplies, materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
May be required to travel to perform work functions
