Job Summary: Provides a variety of clerical and communication duties which contribute to the effectiveness of the Expanded Learning Program at Richland.
Hours/Schedule: 8 Hrs/Day - 5 Days/Week - 191 Work Days/School Year 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.* * Flexible schedule depending on the program's needs
Salary: Range 5: $17.77 - $ 19.84 / Hourly Rate
Minimum Qualifications & Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by business school, at least one (1) year of college, and/or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of office procedures and practices, including, but not limited to filing systems, office equipment, telephone etiquette, and letter and report writing.
Office skills to include typing with 95% accuracy, 10-key calculations, and computer systems and software.
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form in both English and Spanish.
Knowledge of crisis management techniques; ability to react effectively in emergency situations; knowledge of community emergency medical resources.
Requires a professional demeanor and a high level of confidentiality.
Work effectively with administrators, staff, parents, and others contacted during the course of business.
Essential Functions:
Greets and assists visitors that come into the school site office.
Assists students and staff members.
Answers the telephone and interschool communications system, relays messages, and provides information to staff and public.
Assists with student enrollment/transfers/withdrawals of students.
Maintains accurate records of student attendance and runs weekly attendance verification reports for teachers; keeps Assistant Principal informed on attendance issues.
Maintains and organizes supply room; maintains supply inventories and dispenses supplies for school site on a quarterly basis or as needed.
Maintains copy machine with supplies, and calls for repairs as needed; updates codes quarterly and submits report to district office.
Assists with a variety of clerical related functions.
Types letters, records, lists, and other miscellaneous materials.
Assists with SARB; runs weekly reports.
Checks and reviews data for completeness and conformity with established policies and procedures.
Sorts and distributes mail.
Keeps records, files, and performs other clerical duties common to school district organization.
Assists with maintaining after school program rosters for attendance and cafeteria counts.
Schedules appointments for Principal, Assistant Principal, and other staff.
Administers first aid to students as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.
