AMHC is seeking a part-time (24 hours/week) Clinical Consultant to provide leadership, clinical oversight, and support within our Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (ACSU) in Calais. This role is ideal for a licensed mental health professional passionate about trauma-informed, compassionate crisis care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide diagnostic impressions
 - Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
 - Deliver direct crisis intervention and support for individuals in acute distress
 - Supervise and train para-professional staff on best clinical practices
 - Engage families and coordinate with community providers for continuity of care
 - Develop, implement, and refine clinical protocols and safety procedures
 - Provide expert consultation on complex cases and team dynamics
 - Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care coordination efforts

Requirements
· This position requires a master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling or a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology.
· Licensure as a Social Worker, Clinical Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Counselor, or Clinical Psychologist in the State of Maine.
· Mandt (Level I) and First Aid/CPR are required and will be provided by the agency. Additionally, employees are required to maintain all certifications.
· The ability to pass a background check and meet other licensing or regulatory requirements is required.
