Job Title: Team Leader Administration

Salary: £27,000 per annum

Location: Ballymena, County Antrim 

Contract/Hours: Permanent / Full-Time – 35 hours per week (generally Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 8am-1pm)

About the role

Ballymena & Little Steps Sure Start provides a range of health, play & learning and parenting support services to children, from pre-birth up to four years, and their families. The project comprises a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary team and works in close partnership with a range of local Statutory, Voluntary and Community service providers to promote effective service delivery in response to the needs of the expectant parents, children and families across the designated SureStart areas.

As a Team Leader Administration you'll lead and manage a team of 4 people to provide a full range of business support services, including project administration, financial monitoring and reporting, overseeing property maintenance, and dealing with a wide range of service user and stakeholder enquiries.

We have 3 services in the area and there is an expectation that you will travel regularly across all 3. 

 

How you’ll create brighter futures

We’ll rely on you to make sure our services run as smoothly as possible by managing the delivery of a range of services including front desk services, meetings management and maintenance of information and database systems. 

Other key responsibilities of your role will be;

  • Preparing accurate budgets and forecasting for the service and the commissioners.

  • Managing a team of Business Support officers in the 3 services across the area.

  • Supporting Business Support Officers and managers with administrative and Health & Safety issue, including property maintenance

  • Working collaboratively with our senior management team, supporting them to prepare reports, communications and presentations. 

 

Let’s talk about you

Whilst it would be great if you have a Diploma Level 3 in Business Administration, we are very open to experience rather than qualifications. 

  • Good financial acumen is essential as you ‘ll be producing reports and interpreting data for both the service and the commissioners.

  • Good IT skills, including Excel.

  • An understanding of the need for discretion and to always be professional.

  • Good organisational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to manage your time effectively and work to deadlines.

  • The ability and willingness to travel across the 3 services as needed.
