Position Duties

What You’ll Do in This Role:

  • Partner with departments and system users to understand business needs, define requirements, and identify ways to improve or streamline processes within the City’s Electronic Resources Planning (ERP) and related systems.
  • Lead or support projects to design, develop, and implement new ERP features, integrations, and enhancements to improve efficiency and information flow.
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend updates, upgrades, or replacements to optimize operations and meet organizational goals.
  • Configure, maintain, and monitor ERP applications and related systems to ensure security, functionality, and compliance with established standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors, IT staff, and other stakeholders on system upgrades, troubleshooting, and technical support.
  • Create and update documentation, training materials, and user guides; deliver training and support to employees using ERP and related applications.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations that help guide system improvements, budget planning, and technology investments.
  • Stay current on ERP trends, software developments, and best practices to help the City make informed decisions about future technology solutions.
  • Support change management efforts by communicating system updates and helping users adapt to new processes and tools.

Minimum Qualifications

You Have: 

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, finance, information systems, or a related field. Work experience may be substituted for the degree.
  • Three to five years of related professional experience.
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) certification (preferred).
You Will Succeed in This Role If You:
  • Understand how business processes, data, and technology work together, and can turn complex needs into practical system solutions.
  • Bring experience leading or supporting projects that improve or integrate software systems and databases.
  • Use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and build strong relationships with colleagues, users, and vendors.
  • Adapt to change with flexibility and focus, helping departments make the most of their technology tools.
**Successful candidates must maintain a local residency within a 100-mile radius of Durango, CO.
