Specific Duties

  • Develop compliance strategies or programs for Cardinal based on state and federal laws.
  • Serve as an advisor to Plant HR on policy management.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and develop plans to minimize or eliminate them.
  • Manage Corporate Handbooks, State Addendums, and all Plant Procedural manuals.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation enforcing adherence to requirements.
  • Manage labor law posting compliance for plants, through GovDocs subscriptions.
  • Manage administration of employment authorizations and sponsorships, including I-9 and E-Verify procedures and training.
  • Assist locations with management of Military Leave and USERRA compliance
  • Complete various plant economic reports, including benefit rate estimates, wage apportionments and government grant reports.
  • Submit monthly, annual, and ad hoc DOL and BLS filings.
  • Backup on hourly payroll and employee relations
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned

  • Computer knowledge – intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • HR systems and process knowledge – experience with UKG
