About the role

We’re seeking experienced, compassionate, and adaptable Registered Nurses across a range of specialties to join a respected health system in Fairbanks, Alaska on a three-year contract.

As an RN, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes. You’ll work in a facility known for its strong nurse-to-patient ratios, trauma care excellence, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities 

  • Provide direct, high-acuity care to patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases in accordance with obstetric protocols, clinical standards, and evidence-based practices
  • Administer medications including oxytocin, epidural support, and pain management therapies; monitor maternal and fetal vital signs; and manage IV infusions and obstetric interventions
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to assess patient status and implement individualized birth plans
  • Document labor progression, nursing interventions, delivery outcomes, and postpartum assessments with precision to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
  • Respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies, performing advanced procedures such as neonatal resuscitation, hemorrhage control, and emergency cesarean preparation
  • Educate patients and families on labor expectations, newborn care, breastfeeding, and post-discharge recovery to support informed decision-making and maternal well-being

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • NCLEX-RN successfully passed (or NCLEX study is in progress as a minimum)
  • English proficiency (certification or native fluency)
  • Minimum 24 months of recent acute care experience
  • Willingness to relocate to Alaska for a minimum of 3 years
