Description
JPI is seeking a Project Manager to support a federal client in project management and business operations initiatives. Focus for this role is configuration items management, project management and meeting support, and both technical and subject matter quality control for project deliverables.
This is a 1099 opportunity.

Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with developing Project Management Plans, monitoring and communicating progress and making required iterations, identifying stakeholders and assigning responsibilities, building baseline schedules and Work Breakdown Structure in coordination with stakeholders
- Provide regular reports and project status updates to management, stakeholders and others, highlighting successes, issues, risks and risk mitigation, understand root causes, and communicate the findings to the program/project core team, and stakeholders
- Develop, deliver, revise, and maintain configuration items (e.g., SOPs, Process Guide, Job Aids, and Templates), and other forms of communication collaborating with internal and external project teams to deliver status updates or key business initiatives
- Maintain project specific risk registers and report on risks and risk mitigation
- Lead the analysis and reconciliation of data and report projects and initiatives delivery
- Discuss both strategic and tactical information as it relates to the unique needs of diverse stakeholder groups.
- Act as a meeting coordinator and facilitator for workshops, leadership meetings, and trainings developing and capturing pre and post strategic meeting artifacts
Requirements
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field. Master's degree plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Experience supporting federal clients.
- Active security clearance/ability to obtain.
- Experience managing implementing and applying Agile principles and frameworks like Scrum and Kanban
- Familiarity with PMP tools and methodologies
- Proven success in supporting client-facing solutions from concept to completion, establishing project management best practices and maintaining project management tools/processes for clients.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
