POSITION SUMMARY
Plays a key role in building community relations and engaging with prospective members. Provides leadership, direction, and coaching to branch staff to ensure efficient, high-quality service to members and the community. Supports the Credit Union’s growth by fostering a strong sales and service culture, developing business relationships, and ensuring compliance with operational, regulatory, and security standards. Assertively and creatively pursue quality lending and deposit opportunities through financial wellness counseling and product awareness to current and potential Credit Union members in support of the branch’s growth goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Branch Operations
- Oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain branch security, including building access and periodic equipment testing.
- Support and assist with member service functions and promote Credit Union products and services.
- Implement operational and policy changes within the branch.
- Leadership and Staff Development
- Provide ongoing coaching and supervision for Member Services Representatives to ensure optimal performance and service delivery.
- Establish goals, communicate expectations, and hold regular team meetings.
- Manage scheduling, workflow, and staffing levels to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct performance reviews, implement development plans, and recommend promotions when appropriate.
- Lending and Business Growth
- Serve as the primary contact for consumer and real estate lending opportunities.
- Identify and pursue lending and deposit growth through member relationships, referrals, and community engagement.
- Review, process, and approve loan applications within authority and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Manage loan closings and perform collection efforts as needed.
- Community and Business Development
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain members and business partners.
- Maintain relationships with area Select Employee Groups (SEGs) and represent the Credit Union in the community.
- Participate in local events and business activities to enhance visibility and promote products and services.
- Actively cross-sell products to meet member financial needs.
- Member Experience
- Ensure prompt, courteous, and professional service to all members.
- Communicate Credit Union policies and services clearly and effectively.
- Uphold the Credit Union’s reputation for quality, professionalism, and member care.
- Additional Duties
- Perform other duties and provide branch support as needed to ensure service continuity.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain current knowledge of procedures and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
College degree or experience in a managerial role, preferably as a branch manager in a financial institution
Experience:
Minimum of one year of management experience and one year of lending experience required
Skills and Abilities:

- Excellent communication and public relations skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of lending and deposit programs, policies, procedures, and associated legal requirements
- Solid math skills and strong technology/computer knowledge
