Are you certified in conducting Les Mills exercise classes? Do you like helping individuals feel good about themselves? Do you have the gift of encouragement of others and helping them to achieve their goals of healthy living? If so, the Tri-Community Branch YMCA of Central Massachusetts is encourages you to join our Wellness Team!


Applicants must have required current certification in Les Mills as well as certification in CPR/First AID, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Essential Functions:

  • To physically be able to demonstrate and instruct various routines and other segments of cardiovascular,
  • aerobic and strength training programs.
  • To monitor participants during class to ensure they are exercising safely and within their capabilities.
  • To develop motivational relationships with participants and create a challenging atmosphere.
  • To participate in promoting the YMCA and its programs and represent the YMCA in a professional manner, including proper attire.
  • Instructors are responsible for finding coverage for their classes.

Qualifications:

  • At least one-year experience in a related field a plus.
  • Risk Manager training required prior to employment.
  • CPR, First Aid AED, prior to employment.
  • National certification (ACE, NETA, AFAA, NASM) in group fitness instruction or YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise certification a plus.


Job Type: Part-time

Schedule: Flexible Hours -- Based on instructor availability and room schedule

Pay: $18.00/hour, with access to facilities, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
