Job Description:The Lead Painter is responsible for all painting projects including various preventative and repair work to ensure the resort is maintained according to established standards.
Apply paint, stain and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
Coordinate with vendors in order to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.
Maintains all cosmetic stock for paint, wood and finishes & all color schemes for property.
Maintain brushes and rollers in good condition.
Participate in the preventive maintenance program of all-building equipment and rooms.
Complete all assigned work in a safe, timely and complete fashion, using safety precautions at all times when using tools, chemicals, ladders, or other potentially dangerous equipment or supplies.
Comply with resort safety standards and any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
Demonstrate ENRICH values in all interactions with team members, guests and vendors.
Communicate with the Director of Engineering on projects as assigned.
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Check Engineering Logbook and Alice Logs for information regarding problems. Document pertinent information in logbook.
Use all power tools safely, including pressure washers and compressors.
Respond to all Guest Requests quickly and attentively.
Respond to all emergency or life-threatening situations.
Move various objects for relocation and/or access.
The starting range for this position is $33.00/hour. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent
3-4 years experience serving as a painter/carpenter within a hotel or property management environment
Experience with power tools use and safety
Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment, furniture and warning labels
Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management
Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual - Spanish preferred
Prior hospitality experience
