Job Summary

Prepares and cooks all entrees, vegetables, starches, and soups for the patient and cafeteria food service according to standardized recipes, with the goals of providing high quality food service and achieving a positive dietary image in the perception of the patient, employee, and community.

Essential Functions

• Moves throughout the facility and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver dietary services as assigned.

• Performs the manual and administrative responsibilities of this position according to hospital and department policy and procedure.

• Demonstrates working knowledge of patient diets and understands basic food service regulations.

• Follows recipes appropriately.

• Works cooperatively with unit staff and ancillary departments.

• Demonstrates commitment to Pomerene Hospital’s Values.

• Delivers service that builds customer satisfaction.

Education

Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/Preferred

High School Diploma/GED General Studies Preferred
