Position Overview:
We’re seeking a reliable and customer-focused Route Driver to join our operations team at MedPro Disposal. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional collection and transportation of regulated medical waste from healthcare facilities to treatment centers.
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in providing exceptional service, values safety and compliance, and enjoys being on the road. As the face of MedPro Disposal for many of our clients, you’ll play a key role in maintaining strong customer relationships while upholding our commitment to operational excellence and environmental safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles to pick up medical waste from customer sites and deliver materials to designated treatment facilities.
- Load and unload containers following proper safety and handling protocols.
- Deliver excellent customer service through timely, professional, and courteous interactions with healthcare clients.
- Accurately record pickups, deliveries, and route information using company-provided devices or documentation forms.
- Identify and promote additional MedPro services and products where appropriate.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, report maintenance or repair needs, and ensure vehicles are kept clean and organized.
- Support local operations and logistics initiatives, including occasional sales or marketing efforts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and customer support teams to ensure smooth service execution.
- Be available for occasional overtime or weekend shifts as needed to meet customer demand.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience driving commercial vans or medium-duty trucks, with a clean driving record required.
- At least 1 year of experience in route delivery, logistics, or warehouse operations (preferred).
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from the Naperville office.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with a customer-first mindset; must be dependable and punctual.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including background and driving record checks.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, with occasional overtime and weekend availability.
