Cafeteria Manager at Vernon Public Schools

Description: The Administration is seeking a person qualified by education and experience to carry out the duties assigned to the position and in general, to establish and maintain a high level of standards of excellence in the Vernon Public Schools. 
Requirements: At least 2 years Food Service experience required. ServSafe Certification required prior to starting. 
Salary: $22.72/hour 
Hours:  7AM - 2PM Monday - Friday 

Start date: August 25, 2025

Essential Job Functions:

    
• Manage 2 other kitchen employees
    
• Prepare and serve quality food to students
    
• Maintain proper documentation necessary for local and state Boards of Health
    
• Maintain proper documentation of all food, material, and equipment inventory
    
• Adhere to all sanitary standards in both work and attire 
    
• Adhere to school district menu as set by Food & Nutrition Director
    
• Order all food, supplies, and materials needed for the program
    
• Adhere to all standardize recipes
    
• Assign kitchen peronnel to various duties and move as needed
    
• Run cash register, close cash drawer, provide total cash and meal count as required
    
• Assist in daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment
