Assimilation Director
Woodside Bible Church – Troy Campus
Woodside Bible Church is seeking an Assimilation Director to lead and develop volunteer teams that create a welcoming environment for every guest, ensuring a seamless transition from first-time visitor to fully engaged member of the church community. This role oversees guest services, connection processes, and engagement strategies to foster spiritual growth and involvement as part of Woodside’s mission to see people become spiritually healthy and connected members. The Assimilation Director also serves as a dotted-line manager, encouraging and supporting Assimilation Directors within the Troy Hub to ensure consistency and collaboration across campuses.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all aspects of guest services, including greeters, ushers, and welcome desk hosts.
Foster a warm and welcoming environment in the lobby and throughout campus, partnering with operations for signage, cleanliness, and connection points.
Manage and enhance the Connect Card follow-up process, ensuring timely and intentional communication.
Lead and coordinate First Steps and Next Steps processes and membership classes, creating clear pathways to connection and involvement.
Recruit, train, and empower volunteer teams for weekend services, baptisms, and special events.
Track and report guest-to-member conversion metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Oversee baptism logistics and volunteer coordination for the Troy campus.
Support Hub-level assimilation strategies and collaboration across campuses, working with other Assimilation Directors to develop systems, goals, and shared best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
3–5 years of experience in guest services, ministry, or a related leadership role.
Demonstrated spiritual maturity and personal commitment to ongoing growth.
Proven ability to build and lead effective volunteer teams.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work with diverse groups with grace and understanding.
