Description
SUMMARY:
Performs oil and gas services consisting of tank battery construction, facility hook-ups, flow line hook up and repair, building pipe lines, pipeline leak repair, pumping unit assembly, backhoe services, tank and truck maintenance and general labor duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Performs miscellaneous dirt work, equipment work, and general labor work.
 - Performs routine maintenance on production equipment at new and existing facilities.
 - Performs and assists in the construction of tank batteries and facilities, and tank containment for production facilities.
 - Performs and assists in building and maintaining pipe lines, pipeline leak repair, and maintaining pumping unit assembly.
 - Assists in flow line installation, removal, and repairs.
 - Responds to call out requests as needed for maintenance, relief and emergency situations.
 - Performs other duties as determined and required based on project need.
 
Requirements
EDUCATION:
Must have a High school diploma, equivalency or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have one - two (1-2) years of experience within oil and gas production facilities, pipeline construction, pipeline labor or equivalent experience.
SKILLS:
Must have the following skills and/or abilities:
- Basic knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment and hand tools used in the oil and gas production industry, including, but not limited to: backhoe, pneumatic and electrical tools, such as concrete vibrators, compactors, concrete saws, cut-off saws, jackhammers, and hand-operated trenchers.
 - Basic knowledge of construction tools and practices.
 - Basic ability to read and understand maintenance/operations manuals.
 - Strong mechanical skills.
 - Strong planning, organizational, delegation, and time management skills in order to set priorities and meet assigned deadlines.
 - Strong problem-solving skills to develop feasible realistic solutions to problems, recommending actions designed to prevent problems from occurring.
 
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Current Texas driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to perform the following physical activity on a frequent to constant basis:
- Stand for long periods of time.
 - Lift 40–60 lbs. with or without assistance.
 - Able to quickly move hands, hands together with arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
 - Coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down.
 - Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
 - Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information through verbal communications in person or detect objects in and around job site.
 - Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents; operate various types of machinery and handheld equipment.
 - Walk moderate distances on slippery, even, and/or uneven surfaces.
 - Stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, or crawl.
 - Climb and balance on stairs, metal/wooden beams, ladders, or other structures/elevated areas.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work primarily at job site performing work in outdoor weather conditions with exposure to extreme cold, heat, and noise depending upon project site; and may also include the following:
 - dust, fumes, chemicals, and/or other harsh/hazardous solvents or disinfectants
 - electrical components, power lines, or other electrical hazards
 - rebar, blades, or other sharp objects/tools
 - high elevations, trenches, or crawl spaces
 - Possible travel locally during the work day between jobsites, although some out-of-area travel may be expected with seldom overnight travel.
 - Work irregular hours to include nights and weekends.
