Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer the DTS at the PMO level, acting on the LDTA’s behalf
- Develop all travel itineraries, schedules, and special requirements related to Temporary Duty travel through DTS
- Inprocess all new users and maintain requirements such as user profiles and routing lists
- Work with Central Travel Office to resolve issues with transactions, payments and software
- Work specifically with international travel to fulfill embassy and visa requirements as well as theater, country, and area clearances through the Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS)
- Update and report travel and travel card suspense dates to the LDTA
- Ensure appointments for Certifying and Approving officials are processed and approved
- Manage internal controls for USG travel and travel cards
- Ensure employees are aware of official USG travel business rules, procedures, and policies
- Organize and arrange DTS group and organization access, permissions, and Separation of Duties
- Manage travel documents and provide reports to USG leadership
- Provide expert advice to PMO travelers, support staff, and accountable officials
- Conduct internal audits and support external ones
- Ensure DTS users and Accountable Officials satisfy training requirements
- Maintain training plans and records in TJASS
- Review employee input in ATAAPS
- Report employee OCONUS travel, weekly
- Maintain the PMO’s Travel and Management Support SharePoint site
- Other emerging duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
- Clearance Required: Secret
- Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience; with the last 2 years utilizing Defense Travel System (DTS)
- Allowable substitutions: Associate's degree and 4+ years, or a high school diploma and 6+ years of experience
- Expertise with DTS and TJASS
- Strong proficiency with MS Office applications
- Thorough knowledge of Joint Travel Regulation
- Strong analytical, organization, and communication skills
- High ethical standards and demonstrated professionalism
- Ability to work productively both individually and as a team member
- Must be detail and customer-service oriented

- Experience working in a DoD Project Office
