Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Racquet Attendant to join our team at The Peninsula Golf & Country Club. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tennis and pickleball and the ability to provide excellent support and instruction in a welcoming, engaging, and professional manner 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing responsiblities
  • Prepare courts and equipment for lessons; ensure a safe, clean, and organized playing area
  • Ability to re-string and re-grip racquets
  • Maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and organization for the tennis facility. Execute the daily maintenance of the tennis courts and tennis equipment, and ensure availability of rental equipment, towels and balls, and water service
  • Scheduling of court time, lessons, clinics, round robins, and tournament play
  • Provide members with personal, gracious and professional service, perceptive to the individual wants and needs
  • Knowledge of different racquet types, grip size, head size, whether the racquet is for a beginner or advanced player
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, guardians, and club members
  • Help foster a vibrant, inclusive, and active tennis community
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to tennis to others
  • Understand and adhere to the club’s policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of tennis fundamentals, including stroke technique, rules, and match play

Requirements

  • Tennis & Pickelball teaching experience is a plus. 4.0+ playing level
  • 1–2 years of experience playing on a High School or College Tennis Team, or equivalent tennis experience
  • USPTA/PTR/RSPA certification a plus but not required
  • A valid work permit (if under 18 or required by school/state regulations)
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays and maintain a punctual, responsible, and safety-first mindset at all times
  • Possess high energy and a genuine desire to interact actively with the membership on a professional and hospitable level

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to actively play tennis and , including running, rallying, and demonstrating techniques.
  • Must be able to frequently walk, jog, kneel, bend, lift, and stretch during sessions.
  • Manual dexterity to handle tennis equipment and set up courts.

Compensation:

$22 (plus, commissions for teaching lessons)
