Position Summary:

The Donor Relations Manager's primary role is to optimize community-based fundraising efforts for the BHI Foundation. This involves cultivating and nurturing relationships with top-tier donors, ultimately securing major and planned gifts for the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develops a donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategy for major and planned gift prospects within the assigned community(s).
• Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major and planned giving donor prospects for significant contributions to the BHI Foundation.
• Serves as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic brand ambassador, sharing compelling stories about our mission, programs, and communities.
• Coordinates the BHI Foundation’s major and planned giving campaigns and develops campaign materials, activities, and events.
• Facilitates solicitation meetings with major and planned giving donor prospects, working closely with VP Philanthropy & Development, BHI community Executive
• Director, other community staff and Foundation board members.
• Maintains accurate and timely records and contact reports of all interactions with donors utilizing BHI Foundation fundraising software.
• Researches and analyzes data via fundraising CRM and external sources and provides information and reporting on the data.
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Bachelor’s degree or applicable work experience
• 5+ years of experience in major gifts fundraising
• A demonstrated track record of securing significant gifts from individual donors
• Passion for caring for seniors with industry interest
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences
