We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Data & Analytics Analyst to join our IT Applications team in Adelaide (other states considered), on a permanent full-time basis.
Reporting to the Integration Systems Manager, you will play a key role in providing high quality application support, design and development services.
Key Responsibilities
- Influence and lead functional and technical design & support, leveraging best practices in areas such as database design and administration, extract-load-transform, data modelling, data visualisation, code management, integrated release management, testing and server environment management.
- Contributing to large scale and/or complex IT projects with a systems/software development component. Predominantly over 18mths providing input into transitioning Data & Analytics systems from APA over to AGIG (Divestment)
- Acting as an escalation point, provide critical support functions for the Networks business with proficiency and compliance with ITIL processes and tools
- Working with users and stakeholders to evaluate solution design for effective business intelligence and analytics outcomes. Ensuring that systems are developed within agreed budgets and time frames and achieving necessary design and system security standards
- Acting as an escalation point for related problems/roadblocks, and offering guidance on best practice development to other team members
Your background
Strong technical BI skills utilising the following:
- Current versions of SQL Server – including database engine, analysis services, integration services, master data services and data quality services. Power BI – advanced dashboards, DAX & Enterprise Reporting
- Data Warehousing (on prem and Cloud)
- Data Integration and ETL – pipelines, automation and optimisation
- Proficient in SQL, DAX, MDX.
- Visual Studio, Visual Studio Team Services & Azure DevOps
- Able to lead meetings, clearly communicate technical approach, status to assess and mitigate risk

The Networks business (AGIG) manages and operates local distribution networks and transmission pipelines that deliver gas to around 1.4 million households and businesses across Australia.
This is an exciting time for the Networks team, we are growing and expanding with many new projects, including biogas and hydrogen & supporting the 2032 Olympics. AGIG have a strong culture of continuous improvement and working towards Net Zero with the introduction of renewable green gas into the Gas Networks.
