The Opportunity
We are seeking an Associate to join the Future Fund’s Infrastructure team, which manages a global portfolio of infrastructure assets across Transport, Renewable Energy, Digital Infrastructure and other sectors. These include direct investments in unlisted infrastructure assets and co-investments alongside external managers.
In this role, you will provide analytical support across investment evaluation, execution and portfolio management, while also contributing to research that ultimately shapes the Agency’s Infrastructure strategy. This is a unique opportunity to build expertise in infrastructure investing within a collaborative, high-calibre team.
Key Responsibilities
Support investment evaluation and execution by conducting detailed and rigorous financial modelling and valuation analysis
Monitor financial and operational performance of assets, supporting value creation initiatives and maintaining awareness of emerging risks
Contribute to portfolio strategy by delivering analytical outputs, developing tools and trackers to monitor the global Infrastructure investment landscape
Deliver regular and ad-hoc portfolio performance reporting for internal stakeholders
Collaborate effectively with other teams across the Agency to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing
About You
2–4 years in corporate finance, investment banking, principal investing, transaction services or a similar analytical role. You’re fluent in investment numeracy and literacy and have built and interrogated financial models
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, Engineering, or a related numerate discipline, with postgraduate studies in finance viewed favourably
Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with VBA and data extraction from financial databases a plus (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Preqin).
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesise insights and present structured views
Intellectual curiosity and a collaborative style, with the ability to thrive in a high performance environment
