HOURS: 37.5 hours per week
COMPENSATION: The starting salary for this position is expected to be $110,000-$115,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 8:30am- 5:00pm.
Basic Functions
The Senior Network Support Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the core infrastructure for servers, network, storage, and communication systems. Responsibilities include supporting day-to-day operations of The Summit’s infrastructure systems at all levels. Qualified candidate must have a high level of skills and experience with networks, servers, desktop, and system security. Procurement and installation of hardware and software, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, coordinating maintenance and creating technical documentation will be key functions of the position. Systems planning, project implementation and technical training projects will be required on occasion.

Essential Responsibilities
- Network
- Coordinate and lead the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of the network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, Internet, voice and data communications systems.
- Administer firewalls, switches, routers and other network appliances to ensure optimal configurations for performance and security.
- Lead the troubleshooting of network issues, escalation and holding vendors accountable to service standards as applicable.
- Maintain thorough and up to date network documentation
- Design, implement and test resilient network routing and BCP/DR plans
- Coordinate with business teams to implement and monitor 3rd party network connectivity
- Server
- Coordinate and lead the installation, maintenance, and monitoring of the server infrastructure including hardware, software, physical, virtual and cloud solutions (Nutanix – HCI, VMware, Azure)
- Research impact of upgrades, patches and administer server operating systems (primarily Windows, some Linux) to ensure optimal configurations for performance and security
- Design, configure and maintain on-premises (Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc) and cloud (Microsoft 365, Azure) infrastructure solutions
- Lead the troubleshooting of server issues, escalation and holding vendors accountable to service standards as applicable.
- Maintain thorough and up to date server documentation including software license management
- Lead the design, implement and testing of the BCP/DR plans and backup solutions
- Coordinate with business teams to implement and maintain 3rd party applications
- Handle escalated and advanced issues from end user support team
- Collaborate with technology and business team management to implement and support 3rd party applications
- Develop and maintain proper procedures and documentation for areas of responsibility
- Identify and recommend opportunities for automation and innovation to simplify processes, improve accuracy and enhance staff and member experiences
- Maintain accurate support records and documentation within ticketing system
- Support miscellaneous infrastructure including cabling, backup power systems, cooling systems, etc as needed
- Evaluate and propose vendors within areas of responsibly and monitor selected vendor’s performance.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide (cross) training for technology support teams to ensure current knowledge of systems, processes, and changes.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedule with network and server team members.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key technology vendors to ensure the credit union achieves productive and cost-effective vendor relationships.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the current technology and operational trends in the industry, as well as keeping current on all the applicable NCUA regulations related to areas of responsibility.
- Keep abreast of new technologies by attending (virtual) conferences/seminars and reading trade publications.
- Provide a positive example to all areas in the credit union through interactions with others.
- Participate in special assignments, projects and committees as requested by management.

Qualifications
Education & Experience - Applicants must possess the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and experience:
- Education: 4-year degree preferred in technology or related field.
- Experience: 5 years professional work experience required. Prefer general level of knowledge of financial products and services.
