About the Role:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving regional sales growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies tailored to the Albany market. This role focuses on increasing sales volume through leadership of outside sales teams and implementation of targeted sales plans. The Sales Manager will ensure the achievement of sales targets by motivating and training the sales force, fostering a high-performance culture. A key outcome of this position is the successful expansion of market share and customer base within the assigned region. Ultimately, the Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in aligning sales initiatives with overall business objectives to maximize revenue and profitability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in regional sales management or a similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that increase sales volume.
  • Strong background in outside sales and managing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and train sales personnel.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years in B2B sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the office technology, IT Solutions, or managed services industry. Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Previous experience working in the Albany region or similar markets.
  • Advanced leadership training or certifications in sales management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive regional sales strategies to meet or exceed sales volume targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and train outside sales teams to enhance their performance and effectiveness.
  • Create and manage sales plans and incentive programs that motivate the sales force and drive results.
  • Monitor sales metrics and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with marketing and product development.

Skills:

•  Expertise in CRM software and office technology products (printers, scanners, IT Solutions,  document management).

•  Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite and sales forecasting tools.

•  Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with experience presenting to executive audiences.

•  Personal Attributes: Results-oriented leader with a hunter mentality, high emotional intelligence for team motivation, and a collaborative spirit to align sales with company-wide goals.
