Job Overview:
We are seeking an Authorization Specialist / Patient Services Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical terminology, insurance verification, and office administration.
Responsibilities include:
· Heavy phone use, answering a multi-line phone
· Insurance authorization for medication and procedures
· Check insurance eligibility
· Schedule patient appointments for multi-provider practice
· Assist with and/or relay patient requests/questions to medical assistants or other clinical staff
· Provide services in the Front Office, including check-in and check-out
· Monitor provider schedules to ensure scheduling accuracy
· Perform various administrative duties such as processing medical records and test results
· Other projects/duties as directed
