SUMMARY
Collects money from citizens in payment for traffic and criminal fines, taxes, bail bonds and commissary funds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The most important and essential job function of the position is attitude and includes the following: getting along with co-workers, responding politely to members of the community, working as a team member, functioning under pressure, and responding in a positive manner to supervision. Other duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
• Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of caller and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
• Take and deliver messages; transfer calls to appropriate personnel’s voice mail when unavailable.
• Answer questions about the services provided and provide agency’s address and direction when requested.
• Welcome on-site visitors and determine nature of business.
• Reconcile daily collection work.
• Collect payments for property taxes, fines, bonding and commissary.
• Collect property tax redemptions.
• Issue property tax statements and/or corrected tax notices.
• Research and do skip trace on returned property tax notices.
• Make pre-tax sale phone calls to delinquent tax payers.
• Process daily mail.
