Intro

RETTEW is looking for a part-time Project Technician to support our GeoEnvironmental, Geophysics/SUE, and Geotechnical teams in Lancaster, PA. This role helps keep projects organized and on schedule by handling the administrative and coordination work that keeps everything running smoothly. You’ll work closely with engineers, scientists, and project managers to manage project data, reports, and schedules, making sure our teams can focus on the technical work.

Position Summary / What You’ll Do

Support the GeoEnvironmental, Geophysics/SUE, and Geotechnical teams with non-technical project tasks, including scheduling, documentation, reporting, and proposal support. You’ll also help maintain organization across multiple active projects and assist with compliance and quality checks.


Responsibilities / Day-to-Day

  • Set up and maintain projects in RETTEW’s internal systems
  • Track project scope, schedule, and budget progress
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and client deliverables
  • Organize and maintain project files, field data, and lab reports
  • Coordinate meetings, travel, and project communication
  • Review and proofread documents for accuracy and formatting
  • Assist with proposals, cost estimates, and permit applications
  • Support team members in scheduling field work 
  • Handle basic client or agency communication as directed
  • Support onboarding efforts


Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2–5 years of related administrative or project support experience
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading ability
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills
  • Team player who can communicate well and manage priorities

Preferred:

  • Experience in environmental or geotechnical consulting
  • Familiarity with permitting, lab data, or environmental documentation
  • Exposure to project accounting systems or ERP tools
  • Knowledge of basic geotechnical or environmental concepts
