Base Salary $83,038 - $87,739 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to research support and mentoring initiatives within a higher education environment. Importantly, you will contribute to the development of a Youth Researcher Mentoring Program for the PREMISE Next Generation Centre of Research Excellence, embedding lived experience expertise to enhance its impact. Alongside research and program support, you will also contribute to social media content creation and literature scoping, helping to share knowledge and engage with the broader community. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong organisational and administrative skills with a passion for supporting research and making a difference in youth mental health.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Contribute to the development of the Youth Researcher Mentoring program, embedding lived experience expertise to strengthen its impact.
Conduct literature scoping and writing to support research activities, reports, and program development.
Support the creation of social media content and imagery to promote initiatives and engage stakeholders.
Provide general administrative support, including records management, purchasing, invoicing, and basic compliance tasks.
About you
Current student of the University of Sydney studying in a relevant field (desirable).
Lived experience with mental illness and an understanding of issues impact youth mental health, with the ability to embed this expertise into mentoring, research support, and program development.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and build positive relationships.
Proven computer literacy and confidence using digital tools to manage tasks and support research activities.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Experience working in higher education, particularly in roles supporting researchers develop mentoring programs.
