Position Summary

The PC&L Specialist is responsible for conducting daily audits of shipping and receiving. Including, reviewing daily shortages, expiration reports, damages, inventory rotation, discrepancies, and quality issues.

Standard Duties:  

  • Review and perform inventory cycle counts, identify discrepancies, update production and PC&L teams with accurate stock levels.  (Follow standard process).
  • Drive safety through all activities.  Ensure the highest safety standards are maintained.
  • Support and work with finance invoicing  
  • Support all inventory governance process audits required (receiving, shipping, scrap, etc.)
  • Count material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and posts totals to inventory/property records. Document discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts.
  • Works closely with other inventory specialists in addressing inventory imbalances.  
  • Execute PIT activities, supporting other PC&L teams.
  • Ability to pull reports from SAP and Excel for audit purposes.
  • Proficient in computer reporting, pivot tables and excel record inventory data.
  • Update SAP with all receiving/shipping corrections.
  • Update SAP inventory balances to keep accurate information for all MRP schedules (Troubleshooting and Escalation of discrepancies identified)
  • Communicate any stock outs based off inventory adjustments to PC&L team
  • Validate Stock Rotation Control FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.
  • Monitoring stock control, accuracy, efficiency, and quality.
  • Create purchase requisitions.
  • Annual record keeping with ability to maintain records based off customer retention and BW supplier manual requirements.
  • Work with quality teams to maintain SAP on hold deviation inventory stock levels.
  • Support continuous improvement projects and implementation
  • BOM audits
  • Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required
  • Support weekend activities when required
  • Accurately and timely enters materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.
  • Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.
  • Adherence to standard work procedures in addition to development and continuous improvement to the standards.
  • Meet all PC&L department KPI’s (Safety, Internal / External Delivery, Logistics Quality, Cost (Scrap / HPUS), Associate Engagement and Teamwork)
  • Wear all required PPE within manufacturing areas and warehouses.

Additional Information:

  • Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time.

Safety and Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of standing, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling, reaching, etc.
  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. repetitively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment operation manuals, Safety Data Sheets, and other literature as required
  • Repetitive motion activities include but not limited to loading machines, unloading machines, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
  • All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with the safety policies and procedures.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Punctual attendance to work is required.
  • Good hand dexterity, hearing, and vision are considered essential. 
  • A moderate to high degree of repetitive motions using right, left, or both hands and/or feet may also be required.

Education & Experience

Education:   

High School diploma or GED required

Experience: 

1 year of physical logistics related experience preferred.

3 years SAP/ERP Experience required

Problem Solving Experience

Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment

Strong analytical skills and detail orientated

Operation of PIT

Shipping / Receiving knowledge

Ability to create pivot charts and data analysis techniques

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge of SAP Inventory software; wide-ranging knowledge of Excel and Word Processing software.
