UMB Fund Services is our nationally respected investment services provider offering a broad array of services for mutual funds and alternative investments to a wide range of investment advisors, independent money managers, broker-dealers, banks, third-party administrators, insurance companies and other financial service providers.  The Fund Services Technical Support team provides support for the application used by our teams within UMB Fund Services organization.  Our efforts of the team ensure the application supports our business partners’ needs and run smoothly to avoid business disruption.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will partner with the Registered Fund Services business stakeholders and technical teams to identify business systems solutions for changes in business processes, policies, and information systems.  You will determine the business needs and develop solutions to improve processes and functionality for the Fund Services applications.  You will also provide end user support for the applications and their interfaces.    This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which will include multiple initiatives as assigned by IT leadership. 

This role is hybrid (Mon through Thu on-site / Fri remote) located in Milwaukee, WI.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Partnering with UMB Fund Services business partners to determine business needs.  Identifying, recommending, and developing solutions to improve processes and functionality as it relates to the applications. 
  • Developing and writing business and functional requirements for any application changes.
  • Managing and documenting specific application configuration (PCD) and BAU system changes.
  • Developing and maintaining test cases and scripts to thoroughly test the application functionality for system changes and required regression.
  • Identifying risks to UMB and to our internal and external customers and working with our business partners to mitigate and to eliminate the identified risks.
  • Providing end user support for the applications and interfaces.
  • Report writing and creation.

We’re excited to talk with you if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science or equivalent field of study and at least 2 years of business systems analysis experience OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • You have experience with the MFACT accounting system or PowerAgent transfer agency system.
  • You have a background or prior experience in Fund Accounting, Fund Administration or Transfer Agency.
  • You have the ability to build consensus across multiple departments regarding complex solutions and issue resolution.
  • You have experience identifying, developing, and initiating innovations and solutions where precedents may not exist.

Compensation Range:

$49,510.00 - $95,170.00

The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
