The primary role is to achieve Terrebonne General's mission of it’s fitness programs for the Healthy Lifestyles Center through the development of individualized programs, hands-on coaching, and building relationships that are consistent with the facility's mission and goals. Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, integrating and controlling the activities and workouts of clients and athletes. Will lead groups of clients and athletes through programs developed and written specifically for that population. Will help clients and athletes develop and maintain the skills needed to adopt a healthy lifestyle, including healthy eating and promotion of physical activity. They will develop support by providing information, encouraging progress, and working with the individual or group to address any challenges or barriers that arise.
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or a personal training certification is required. • Must obtain and maintain CPR certification. • Knowledge of fitness principles, basic nutrition, and health skills.
