As we grow, we are seeking an Associate Compliance Officer to support our compliance program and ensure our operations align with regulatory standards and ethical practices. This role will serve as a subject-matter expert on compliance-related matters such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, program fraud, and HIPAA as it relates to hospice operations. The Associate Compliance Officer will also be available to cover for the Compliance Officer during times of absence, ensuring continuity of oversight and support.

Qualifications, Duties, and Perks
An Average Day:
(Includes, but not limited to)
- Conduct pre-emptive compliance audits based on subject matter risk – e.g.,” pattern of referral; level of care and other outlier risks by reviewing program medical records, including physician contractual agreements and overall business risk.”
- Assess and develop tailored program specific training as a result of identified compliance risks following any pre-emptive compliance audits
- Review and update compliance matrix items, as needed
- Review corrective action plans with programs and monitor results, quarterly at a minimum.
- Report progress of corrective action plans to Compliance Officer quarterly, at a minimum.
- Conduct research and provide general training of timely and pertinent compliance topics and issues
- Prepare reports and presentations regarding compliance concerns and issues
- Develop on-going work plans with hospice program personnel, including executive directors and senior management, in obtaining information as part of compliance investigations, audits, monitoring and general oversight
- Other tasks as appropriately assigned by Compliance Officer or as personally determined as necessary and vital to overall compliance processes.

Requirements:
• Must have a current RN licensure in at least one state.
• Must have two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare related field
• Must have at least one (1) year experience in compliance program management or risk management, two (2) years’ experience preferred
• Must have the ability to weigh business risks and enforce appropriate information security measures
• Must understand general concepts of attorney-client privilege, OIG self-disclosure protocols and general familiarity with HIPPA Privacy and Security regulatory requirements including breach reporting protocols
Travel may be required, up to 25%.
