The role you’ll contribute:
The Front Office Coordinator is responsible for scheduling, registration, pre-authorizations, collections and other miscellaneous office duties for all patients obtaining service at outpatient clinics. Personnel provide patients with information regarding living wills, advance directives, conditions of admission, patient rights, and financial responsibilities, while obtaining all necessary demographic, insurance, and other information or signatures necessary to complete the admitting/registration process. All activities are completed in compliance with the applicable state, federal, or regulatory guidelines.

Facilitates the registration and scheduling process for patients.
Communicates effectively with registration and ancillary departments to ensure accurate capture and throughput of all outpatient appointments.
Schedules patient appointments for ancillary departments and ensures all necessary information is recorded.
Interacts with registration and promptly notifies physician offices of possible non-covered appointments.
Facilitates prompt delivery of precertification for outpatient clinics.
Evaluates, compiles, and reports information to the team to facilitate patient care.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred qualifications:
1+ year experience in a medical setting with coding, charge entry and payment collection
Active American Heart Association BLS
