The Loan Operations Representative performs a variety of loan servicing responsibilities which require a high level of accuracy, knowledge of department procedures as well as branch processes. Must work within specific timeframes to maintain banks security positions on loans.
- Reviews, boards and services new Residential Mortgages, Home Equity Lines, Consumer Loans, Mortgage Participations while maintaining the high level of accuracy, data quality and consistency essential for client satisfaction and banks financial performance.
- Settles daily non-post items as well as resolves out of balance general ledger and In Process findings identified in the Financial Management System.
- Responds to various CRM requests including advances and research.
- Prepares and submits reports to various investors/guarantors within specified timeframes to avoid penalties.
- Responsible for timely and accurate payments of clients property taxes, property and flood insurance premiums, as well as private and government insurance premiums.
- Responsible for tracking property insurance cancelations.
- Maintains regular contact with retail staff, answers questions about department operations, provides support regarding new, existing and paid loans.
- On a daily basis obtains various loan indexes. Updates and maintains the core system database for automated rate adjustments.
- Remits payments for loans to participating banks. Prepares reports to support figures and loan status.
- Researches client credit report disputes and responds according to regulatory guidelines.
- Processes UCC Continuations to secure assets pledged as collateral.
- Responsible for reviewing and updating departments written procedures.
- Assists in the timely management of paid loan processing including but not limited to registry discharges, UCC terminations, & motor vehicle releases.
- Transfers investor payments to appropriate custodial accounts as set forth in guidelines.
- Processes time sensitive payoffs to FHLMC in accordance with their servicing requirements.
- Reviews Annual Escrow Analysis Statements, is prepared to explain findings to clients when necessary.
- Maintains and updates various logs, ledgers and databases Processes paperwork for changes in customer loan files and paid loan files.
- Reconciles various accounts to general ledger at pre-determined intervals.
- Complies with all banking related laws and regulations communicated to the employee through training and/or written correspondence and those requirements reflected in the Bank's policies and procedures applicable to the employee's duties and/or areas of responsibility. Protects all customer information and institution assets and complies with privacy and acceptable use policies.

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge of loan department operations, policies and procedures
- 1 year + of banking experience preferred.
- Proficiency with multiple computer applications, specifically word processing, spreadsheet and database management software.
- Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
- Professional presentation when working with clients.
