The City of Auburn’s Innovation & Technology Department is seeking an IT Administrative Assistant to support our leadership team and help keep our department running smoothly. Position Duties

In this job you will...

  • Arrange and coordinate meetings for department staff, prepare meeting agendas and record action taken and/or required by staff.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Innovation & Technology requests via email, phone, and/or in person requests.

  • Prepare and track requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices/payments for purchases as requested and approved by Innovation & Technology staff.

  • Maintain relevant knowledge and background in IT related products and services.

  • Act as the budget and procurement coordinator for the department.

  • Screen visitors, receive a large volume of telephone calls using a multi-lined telephone system, and handle the majority of contacts independently by having a broad knowledge of the department, City operations, and community services and programs.

Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • A high school degree or equivalent 
AND
  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible clerical and/or administrative experience in an executive office.

We would love if you have:
  • An Associates of Arts Degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration, or related field. 
  • Experience in a municipal IT-related environment.
