The MRI Technologist will perform quality MRI images per physician’s orders while providing excellent service to patients.
This is a part-time (0.2 FTE) position working every other weekend out of our Waconia and Edina Crosstown locations.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:
- Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to super conducting magnet on designated portions of the body for physicians’ use in diagnosing and treating illness or injury
 - Inform and prepare patients for procedures including researching implanted devices
 - Maintain patient files, including internal and external films
 - Prepare, clean and stock work area with supplies
 - Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair
 - Maintains the necessary precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure
 - May include IV contrast administration as needed
 - Any and all other duties as assigned
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
 - ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in an MRI department required.

- Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
 - A $4,000 sign-on bonus will be offered, payable on first paycheck with a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

Essential Requirements:
Ability to:
- Work in a high magnetic field up to 1.5 Tesla.
 - Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines.
 - Complete job required training.
 - Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
 - Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
 - Work in the clinic during business hours
 - Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
 - Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
 - Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
 - Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
 - Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
 - Understand and execute a variety of instructions
 - Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
 - Work independently with minimal supervision
 - Travel to other work locations, if required
 
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time.
 - Frequent lift up to 35 lbs., occasional lift up to 50 lbs.
 - Push/pull occasionally up to 50 lbs. or persons in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 lbs.
 - Frequent patient positioning including bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, & reaching.
