RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Comply with all policies and procedures
2. Maintain a clean and orderly work area
3. Comply with all safety procedures and PPE requirements
4. Follow direction of the immediate supervisor
5. Follow all quality guidelines & preventative maintenance
6. Studies specifications and confers with plant employees and supervisors to resolve design problems related to material characteristics, dimensional tolerances, service requirements, and manufacturing procedure to minimize cost of tooling with production
7. Ability to disassemble and repair blanking and forming dies and make modifications
8. Modifies tool designs according to trial or production service data to improve tool life or performance
9. Assume tooling projects, fabricate ball out dies, bending blocks, mandrels, blanking and forming dies, and related tooling
10. Thorough knowledge of factory tooling and operations
11. Ability to read blue prints and use precision inspection equipment 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Journeyman toolmaker or equivalent
2. Four to eight years of experience as a toolmaker or machinist
3. Strong knowledge of all tool room equipment
4. Working knowledge of computers to operate machinery
5. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on working in a team environment
6. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted
7.  Exposure to dust, noise, mechanical equipment, oils, vibration
8.  Frequent reaching, fingering, grasping, feeling
9. Occasional bending/stooping, squatting/crouching, pushing, pulling
10. Ability to stand or walk majority of shift
11. Ability to work independently; make judgments; perform under stress
12. Exposure to noise, vibration, fumes, dusts, poor ventilation, odors, oils

Requirements

Must have good attendance. 

Must have previous experience in tool and die.

Must show strong ability to problem solve.
