Creative Director

Samsung TV Plus is a premium global entertainment service and is the most-used streaming app on Samsung Smart TVs. A leader in FAST, Samsung TV Plus offers hundreds of channels and thousands of shows and movies on-demand in the U.S. Globally, the streaming service carries over 3,500 ad-supported linear channels in 30 countries and is accessible on over 630M active devices. Samsung TV Plus is the exclusive home of Conan O’Brien TV, Letterman TV, and hundreds of additional exclusive channels available worldwide. Samsung TV Plus is available on Samsung TVs, Galaxy devices, Samsung Smart Monitors, and Family Hub.

About the Role:
The Creative Director will report to the Head of Global Marketing and PR and will be responsible for servicing the Samsung TV Plus organization across its growing needs. We’re looking for a driven and seasoned Entertainment Creative Director who can help shape the Samsung TV Plus brand and has experience in building and developing new brands, has the ability to develop and create concepts for all types of campaigns, lead productions, and has strong storytelling chops. The right candidate will have experience in building a team from the ground up, and be a collaborative team player who is comfortable with a fast-paced environment and is able to work independently with competing priorities and stakeholders. This individual should have strong team and agency management skills, as well as experience in working with various cross-functional teams, such as Marketing, PR, Merchandising, UX, Programming, and Ads.

FAST is the fastest-growing video segment amongst consumers. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of an exploding and ever-evolving media landscape and will play a key role in driving the growth of the Samsung TV Plus business.

Hybrid position based in Los Angeles, California.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure brand and visual consistency globally
  • Manage and evolve the brand visual identity
  • Manage agency relationships, scopes, and budgets
  • Develop the creative vision and direction for all creative deliverables inclusive of standalone owned and operated linear channel brands, static, motion and video
  • Develop creative workflow, tools, and asset management
  • Own creative kick-offs and stakeholder feedback, both internal and external
  • Develop creative tool kits for O&Os, brand, and marquee partnerships
  • Create hero looks for marquee partnerships

Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate should be a collaborative leader who can motivate a team to generate exceptional creative executions.
  • Experience in managing external agencies and in building and managing a team of creatives.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful campaigns.
  • Self-starter who is adaptive, ambitious and a collaborative team player.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines on multiple projects; highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with leadership effectively.
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is also solution-oriented.
  • Previous creative oversight of an entertainment brand is a plus.

Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Los Angeles, CA, is expected to be between $180,000 ~ $210,000.  Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
