Security Officer - Retail Security at First Class Security

1st Shift 10am - 9pm

Position Overview:
We are seeking a vigilant and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to help protect company assets, deter theft, and ensure a safe shopping environment for customers and employees. The ideal candidate will maintain a visible presence on the sales floor, monitor CCTV systems, and respond quickly to suspicious activity or incidents while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a strong visual security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
• Monitor surveillance systems and sales floor activity for suspicious behavior.
• Conduct routine patrols of the sales floor, fitting rooms, restrooms, and perimeter areas.
• Detain or escort individuals involved in theft or disturbances in accordance with company policy and local laws.
• Report all incidents, safety concerns, or policy violations through detailed written reports.
• Assist store management and law enforcement during investigations or emergency situations.
• Support customer and employee safety during opening, closing, and high-traffic periods.
• Maintain professional communication with staff, customers, and management at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail, loss prevention, or security preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
• Must possess or be eligible for a valid security license (if required by local jurisdiction).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

This position involves working in a busy retail setting with regular public interaction. The Retail Security Officer must maintain a polished appearance and represent the company’s standards of professionalism, safety, and service.
