Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to supervise the daily operations of our 20-person shelter for homeless adults. The Adult Shelter Supervisor will lead shelter staff, provide training and support, and ensure trauma-informed, consistent delivery of services to guests. This role includes relationship building, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, managing supplies and budget, scheduling, data entry, and other administrative functions. You will carry a small caseload of 5 guests and collaborate with our Adult Shelter Service Coordinator.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support shelter staff and volunteers
  • Ensure trauma-informed, consistent service delivery
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and inviting shelter environment
  • Oversee supplies, budget, data entry, and scheduling
  • Ensure policies and procedures are current and followed
  • Carry a small caseload and collaborate with Service Coordinators
  • Monitor shift notes and consult with the Adult Clinical Manager as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or related field required with a master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in social services, nonprofit management, or homeless services
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Relevant certifications in social work, mental health, or crisis intervention a plus
