Task Order Project Manager (Off-site)


Position Description:

Serves as the project manager for a large, complex task order (or group of task orders affecting the same system). Assists the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (KO), task order-level Project Managers, Government management personnel, and customer agency representatives. Responsible for overall management of the specific task order(s), ensuring technical solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner. Coordinates with other information system professionals, develops alternative solutions and backup plans, and provides management, direction, administration, documentation, quality assurance, and leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Ensures regional leads are working together in a standardized manner
  • Manage project schedules and resources to ensure deliverables meet government schedules
  • Communicate weekly with DLA Project Managers, Points of Contact and regional LAN Leads
  • Resolve issues/problems, allocate resources, manage project personnel, and manage project operations/performance
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
  • Prepare and provide ad hoc slides for DLA management and attend meetings as required

 

Personnel Qualifications:

  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or equivalent)
  • Five (5) years relevant experience and five (5) years of leadership experience with progressively higher responsibility in IT and/or consulting
  • BS/BA degree or four (4) additional years of related experience
  • IT-II security clearance or current NACLC at time of proposal submission
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAM Level III
  • Experience in telecommunications network design and management
  • Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, LAN/WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems
  • Ability to work independently or under general direction on moderately complex requirements
  • Experience in project scheduling, personnel management, and interfacing with Government management
  • Must possess Cisco computing environment certificates (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent
