Managing Director, Defined Contribution Sales

Key responsibilities include:

  • Help to establish Blackstone as a leading alternatives provider in the DC market by establishing relationships with leading DC investors and related consultants
  • Obtain capital commitments and drive investor relations and business development objectives to ensure successful execution of Blackstone’s DC Collective Investment Trust (“CIT”) product strategies, including private equity, private core+ real estate, private credit, and infrastructure; as well as other co-manufactured DC product solutions, including Target Date Funds and Advisor Managed Accounts; able to traverse from one investment product to the next, as the client requires
  • Establish and maintain both existing and new relationships; actively cover clients and the market; frequent travel will be required
  • Represent the firm as a visible spokesperson for all external communications relating to client coverage
  • Attend conferences and industry events to establish Blackstone as a key participant in the DC community
  • Understand and articulate Blackstone’s DC products, underlying fund strategies, and deals in great depth
  • Provide aggregated client feedback to internal product development teams to ensure Blackstone product innovations meet market demand
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless experience for clients and Global teams and Blackstone distribution channels to optimize existing relationships and ensure that cross-sell opportunities are actioned efficiently

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15 - 20+ years of DC experience with strong relationships with DC plan sponsors, consultants, asset managers, and recordkeepers
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining market relationships with clients; prior real estate and/or credit business development experience strongly preferred
  • Exhibit a clear understanding of DC investors’ needs and the ability to translate them into additional Blackstone products for the DC market
  • Strong understanding of investments and the DC fund management business; prior alternatives experience a plus
  • Experience working collaboratively with other verticals outside of client relationship management and sales, such as investment acquisitions and finance, a plus

Expected annual base salary range:

$285,000 - $300,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
