Job Summary:Our team is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to assist in maintaining a positive physical, social, and psychological environment in accordance with the residents' needs and facility philosophy. As Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance on Nursing Home/Assisted Living mechanical and electrical systems, environmental quality of facility, upkeep of all necessary logs per ACHA guidelines, NFPA guidelines, and OSHA compliance. Here at Lutheran Haven, you'll get to work as a team member with staff who shows upmost compassion, care, and kindness in attending to resident needs.Job Duties:
Actively supports Lutheran Haven’s Mission and Ministry.
Demonstrates a willingness to be an effective team member by fostering positive relationships with teams and residents.
Maintains Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facility mechanical and electrical systems in good repair and free from hazard.
Completes work orders and performs all required facility inspections in a timely fashion.
Keeps facility in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
Keeps thorough records and logs up-to-date.
Performs fire drills, internal, and external disaster drills per code.
Must have good troubleshooting skills and be able to call on vendors for support.
Be part of, and facilitate as necessary, in-services for staff on Life Safety issues.
Know how to access NFPA 1 and 101 Life Safety Codes as well as keep up to date on code changes.
Coordinates annual building inspection with Seminole County Fire Marshall.
Maintains AHCA readiness at all times.
Sets up and breaks down of events.
Coordinates with SNF/ALF Administrators in regards to Comprehesive Emergency Management Plan for facility to ensure plan is up-to-date annually.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of one year of verifiable, successful experience in similar position and environment.
Ability to operate department equipment according to standard procedures.
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and ability to function on a professional level with clients, staff, and other outside professionals during stressful or emotional situations.
Must successfully complete all assigned duties in a timely manner with reasonable accommodations based on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
