Elementary Teacher – Pinnacle Elementary School
Licensure Area: Elementary Education (K–5)
Reports To: Principal
Nature of Work
Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and delivers instruction that helps students develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success. The teacher fosters a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where all students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally.
Duties and Responsibilities

Plans and implements engaging lessons aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.

Provides differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.

Integrates hands-on and inquiry-based learning, particularly in science, to encourage curiosity and critical thinking.

Maintains effective classroom management consistent with school and district expectations.

Collaborates with grade-level teammates, support staff, and families to promote student success.

Uses formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction and provide targeted interventions.

Participates in professional development and school improvement initiatives.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the principal or designee.
Minimum Training and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Valid North Carolina teaching license in Elementary Education (K–5) or eligibility for licensure.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong background or emphasis in Science instruction.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
