Serves as potential first contact point for visitors and patients of the hospital by providing an alternate service to customers parking their own vehicles. Greets customers and parks their vehicles in a safe and professional manner. Assists with wheelchair as well as entering and exiting vehicle.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have no more than 2 points within the last two year period; must have less than 3 points on license at time of hire.
- Must be able to be insured by hospital insurance for driving, if not may be terminated.
- Must report additional points obtained to HR within 48 hours of issue that may affect insurance eligibility (DUI).
- Must be able to effectively operate all standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Must be able to walk for extended periods of time; bending to get into and out of cars on a continual basis; able to assist customer into wheelchairs and push them into the building; able to list light to medium weight overnight bags/packages into the lobby area.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and relevant personnel.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
Ideal candidate will offer flexibility and availability with ability to perform other duties as assigned. Current additional assignments may include operation of entrance screening and wayfinding, and visitation management.
Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday; Variable shifts beginning as early as 6:00 am and ending as late as 5:00pm, typically 7.5 hours per day
Weekend availability may be required as needed - No holidays
