Senior Staff Accountant at Bernatello's

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the overall success of our organization. Key Benefits: 

• Annual Salary: $60,250-$70,492.50
• Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 am (onsite)
• Full-time position, with benefits package (medical, dental and vision insurance)

In this role, you will:

• Manage balance sheet accounts and schedules (such as accruals, prepaids, and notes payable).
• Prepare and post entries across various registers, journals, and logs.
• Maintain and manage company fixed assets, including disposals, and oversee equipment deposit schedules and capital projections.
• Review and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Perform treasury management tasks across multiple accounts and institutes, including bank transaction validations and bank statement reconciliations.
• Manage lease accounting  following ASC 842 lease accounting standards
• Produce and distribute monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Take ownership of month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and organize documentation for external audits, ensuring smooth and timely completion.
• Research and interpret data to answer financial questions and provide insights.
• Maintain confidentiality while safeguarding the company’s financial information.
• Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in an accounting related role.
• Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial processes.
