Title: Powder Hauler
Location: Independence, MO
Salary: $24.00-$33.00 Per Hour
Schedule: 5 8-hour Shifts: Days, Evenings, and weekend shift available.

Focus: The Powder Hauler is responsible for the safe and accurate movement, delivery, and storage of materials between on-site facilities. This role supports warehouse operations by operating material handling equipment, driving company vehicles, and maintaining compliance with safety and security protocols.
Powder Hauler Job Functions:
Safely load, unload, and store freight using forklifts and related equipment; verify condition and quantity of materials.
Drive a company van or box truck between plant receiving areas and bunkers, following all site safety and traffic procedures.
Operate material handling equipment and complete safety inspections before and after use.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure work environment, reporting any unusual activity or damage.
Support warehouse tasks including order picking, labeling, pallet repairs, and physical inventory participation.
Powder Hauler Minimum Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age.
Minimum of 1 year experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution
Valid US driver’s license required; Class E endorsement preferred.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., work in varying temperatures, and perform physically demanding tasks across shifts.
Previous logistics/warehouse experience at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant preferred.
Location-Specific Requirements:
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. To meet the government-facility requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen.
