Application Support Analyst at Wings Financial Credit Union

JOB SUMMARY:

Help the Digital and Technology team maintain its key role of being a valued and trusted technology partner to the business through customer focused automation of key business processes, maintaining good relationships with customers and vendors and identifying opportunities to leverage automation technology for the good of the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

Automation and Process Improvement

• Assist the Core Processing Operations Manager with applying Wings CU’s Strategy Map and strategic priorities for improving enterprise business processes through automation.
• Develop and maintain a strategy for using automation techniques to improve and drive additional business value and efficiency into existing business processes across the enterprise. This includes continual process review, automation application leverage, coding, and scripting.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of the enterprise automation schedule using our suite of automation tools.
• Facilitate the creation and execution of testing processes, upgrades, enhancements and changes to automated processes, the core processing platforms, and applications supported by Core Processing Operations.
• Review and suggest updates to department-specific procedures for core banking platforms and automation tools as needed.

Technical Support and Maintenance

• Provide support for the credit union’s core banking platforms, which requires 24x7x365 availability. Participate in an on-call rotation within the Core Processing Operations team.
• Serves as a technical resource for upgrades and changes made to the core banking platforms and act as a point of contact and escalation point for critical application issues related to the core banking platforms.
• Provide Tier 2 support for software applications used by the business units, real-time interfaces, and ATM/PTM hardware and software.
• Collaborate closely with other Digital and Technology teams for platform integrations and support.
• Plan and execute system reviews, performance monitoring, and application testing for applications and platforms managed by the Core Processing Operations department.
• Document process diagrams and procedures on all applications and processes supported by the Core Processing Operations team.

Project Management and Coordination

• Assist with the request, tracking, and implementation of all enhancement requests made with application vendors.
• Assists with projects, as needed, that require Core Processing Operations involvement.
• Facilitate the planning and execution of automation and application enhancement requests across Core Processing Operations.
• Facilitate the creation and execution of testing processes, upgrades, and enhancements for automation tools, the core processing platforms, and applications supported by Core Processing Operations.

Security and Compliance

• Assist with the development and management of the application support/security plan for Core Processing Operations.
• Work with Internal Audit to ensure that the application security needs of the organization are met or exceeded by the plan in place as it relates to Core Processing Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College course work or other specialized information system training preferred.
• Minimum of 3+ years of enterprise level application support.
• Experience working with core banking mainframe technology is strongly desired.
• Knowledge and experience working with enterprise scheduling tools (OpCon) and managed file transfer solutions (Axway) is desired.
• Strong understanding of MS Windows operating systems fundamentals
• Moderate coding and scripting capabilities are preferred.
• Knowledge of financial services.
• Strong customer focus and relationship skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedule.
• Ability to work alone or with limited supervision.
• Willingness to pursue further education to meet business needs.
• Bondable.

Pay Range: $78k-$92k plus 10% annual target bonus. The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
