ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and process journal entries, monthly account reconciliation, and supporting documentation, with accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyze general ledger and balance sheet accounts monthly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Produce clear, accurate financial statements, including monthly budget variance reports.
- Review departmental financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contracts, regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP), internal accounting policies, and gaming regulations.
- Support monthly close processes and ensure financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Partner with the Finance team and department leaders to streamline operations and promote financial accountability.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Maintains strict compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations, and various federal and state regulations.
- Promote a clean, safe, and professional work environment in keeping with the Chamonix standard of excellence.
- Perform other duties, including special projects, as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Willingness to learn new systems.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Professionalism, integrity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field is preferred.
- One or more years of recent and relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the gaming industry.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Colorado Support Gaming License.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential duties involve sitting while completing paperwork or using a computer, kneeling, and squatting. Essential duties require lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move general office supplies, equipment, and storage boxes. Essential duties involve a standard workweek with additional hours as needed.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
$26.44+ an hour based on experience
