Overall Purpose: Why the Job Exists & What You Will Do:

As the Inside Sales person, you will maintain and grow customer accounts by providing quality quotes on product solutions, proactively following up on customer�s needs, and providing excellent customer care as the first point of contact.

Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role

A.    Technical Quoting & Account Management: % of the Job

1.     Coordinates and prepares solution-based product quotes for large structural products (towers and catwalks as well as other product lines), ensuring the customer expectations and needs are achieved.

2.     Communicates and collaborates with the engineering team on complex quote requests to ensure the required specs and information is accurate and aligns with the customer request.

3.     Actively communicates with customers as the first point of contact for technical questions, shipments, product counts, ensuring excellent customer care is achieved.

4.     Maintains and grows relationships with customers by providing proactive communication and status updates on pending orders timely and effectively.

5.     Actively travels to trade shows, industry events and customer locations to network and build long-term relationships with customers.

6.     Utilizes available reports and other tools to track and follow up on outstanding quotes, timely and effectively.

7.     Generates sales leads through Prospects, Assists the sales team with lead generation and qualification to grow the business.

8.     Seek out and generate qualified sales leads.

Position Requirements:

A.    Education: Associates Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management with working knowledge of CAD systems, drafting systems, or similar course study; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

B.       Experience: 2-3 years of inside sales and quoting experience required, preferably with large or structural equipment.

C.    Certification(s): N/A

D.    Functional Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, with preferably structural equipment or large equipment; ability to read construction drawings or blueprints is a requirement for this role; solid problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail, and an ability to plan, prioritize and organize information effectively; ability to recommend solutions and provide guidance to customers on technical questions, the order process, status updates, with timely follow up, in person or over the phone is also important for this role.

E.    Technology Aptitude/Skills: Intermediate skills with PC�s/ software and some familiarity with quoting tools would be helpful. Working knowledge of CAD and drafting systems/software is needed for this role.

F.    Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are needed for this role.

G.    Leadership/Behaviors: Excellent customer-focus, energetic, relational, quality-oriented, flexible, has patience with long order processes, is a conceptual thinker, and can seek assistance from others to create the right solutions. Someone who is not afraid to pick up the phone.

Equipment Used:

-         This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Requirements to Perform Essential Functions:

-         Ability to sit at desk for 5+ hours per day

-         Ability to sit and operate a motor vehicle as needed for the role.

-         Ability to operate keyboard and view computer screen for majority of day 6-7 hours

-         Ability to write ideas/information in a logical flow for 5+ hours per day

-         Ability to read and respond on an on-going basis daily due to nature of the work, throughout the day

-         Ability to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and computer on-going

-         Ability to listen to customers, problem-solve, and respond accordingly

-         Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

-         Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, squat, twist, push, pull, stoop, crouch, and carry items frequently

-         Ability to climb Grain Bins & Catwalks with heights of up to 150 ft (with safety gear) may also be required on occasion for troubleshooting and problem solving while on-site

Environmental Conditions & Travel:

-         The employee is primarily exposed to a normal office environment with moderate noise. The employee is occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while visiting manufacturing departments or client locations.

-         This position may face inclement weather conditions when traveling.

-         Up to 35% travel is required; 2 days to 1 week at a time; 6-8 times per year
